Nigeria’s annual award organization, Headies has released its official list of nominations for the year 2018/2019 and it’s surprising to see some names that have rocked the music scene for some time now is missing.
The nominated categories were selected from January 2018 – June 2019 with names like Adekunle Gold, Tiwa Savage, Wizkid, Davido, BurnaBoy, Fireboy DML, Joeboy, Rema nominated for more than one category.
The categories are 24 in total including a category for Special Recognition which will be given to Paul Okoye.

1. BEST RECORDING OF THE YEAR
A non-voting category for the best recording (that meets the judges’ requirements of excellence; songwriting, production, rendition) by an artiste or group in the year under review.
